Email Security · Made Simple

Email impersonation is a common way people get targeted online, and it does not take advanced hacking skills. Usually, it happens simply because a few basic protections are not turned on. The good news is that there are three free settings you can use to lower your risk, improve email delivery, and protect your domain. You do not need any technical experience to set them up.

The 3 Protections That Matter

SPF — Who’s Allowed to Send Email as You

SPF acts like an approved senders list. It tells email providers which services are allowed to send email on your behalf and blocks the rest.

Without it: Anyone can send emails that look like they came from you.

DKIM — Proof Your Emails Are Genuine

DKIM adds a hidden digital signature to every message you send. This confirms the email hasn’t been altered and genuinely came from your domain.

Without it: Emails can be forged or modified without warning.

DMARC — Your Control Layer

DMARC enforces the rules and alerts you when someone tries to impersonate your domain giving you visibility and control.

Without it: You have no insight into abuse and no way to stop it.

Worth knowing: Gmail and Yahoo now expect SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to be in place. Without them, legitimate emails may land in spam or be rejected.
